Amaze me. That's what everyone wants these days. The very notion that the "shock factor" wears out with over-empasis reduces an amazing feat into something uniquely different. That's life with a big S-I-G-H. The grotesque images of men being suspended from butcher hooks in midair, or a woman whose eyes bulges out from their very sockets no longer hold the same allure previosly provided by magicians in their many death-defying feats. Big deal. People in those days were easily contented and pleased. Look at the many television programmes, gore and violence or even intimacy, have all been pushed across as central focus in our everyday life drama, known as the Telly, or Idiot box. Yet....the telly is also our everything. Most of what we know comes from what we watch. Info, music, models. Everything and anything can be found on the idiot box, though of cause, i'm not necessarily implying that your an idiot to be watching tv, but... just take it all with a pinch of salt and sugar.
